The Two Babylons
or The Papal Worship
Proved to be the Worship of Nimrod and His Wife
By the Late Rev. Alexander Hislop
Rome has tried to deny she is the Mother of Harlots in Revelation Chapters 17 and 18, but read for yourself how cleverly she has disguised herself into being the Bride of Christ.
I often think of the symbolic language (metaphors/figures of speech) used in Proverbs which fits Rome perfectly:
Proverbs 5:6: Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them. Although Rome's fingerprints are all over the world, yet she claims to distance herself from any person or group which points an accusing finger at her: "her ways are moveable."
Proverbs 30:20: Such is the way of an adulterous woman (false religion); she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness. The puppets of Rome always seem to have a way of justifying what they do as "of God."
